Overview
- From December 14, Flix plans to increase its long-distance offering by about 15% compared with the prior year.
- Berlin–Frankfurt and Berlin–Stuttgart will each move to five daily departures per direction, up from four.
- A new through service will connect Hamburg and Stuttgart via Berlin without a change, reducing journey time to about 8.5 hours.
- The through train will also provide direct connections from Hamburg to Frankfurt, Erfurt and Halle.
- Flix has ordered additional Talgo trains, though delivery dates remain unclear as Deutsche Bahn still holds well over 90% market share.
