• REACH said flight nurse Susan “Suzie” Smith died Friday evening from injuries sustained in the Oct. 6 crash.
• Pilot Chad Millward and flight paramedic Margaret “DeDe” Davis remain in critical condition at UC Davis Medical Center.
• The helicopter crashed onto eastbound Highway 50 near Stockton Boulevard shortly after departing UC Davis Medical Center.
• The crew was returning to Redding following a patient transfer and no patient was aboard at the time.
• FAA and NTSB investigators, working with the California Highway Patrol, have not identified a cause after an on-scene rescue that included bystanders lifting wreckage.
