The Flexbar, developed by Hong Kong-based startup ENIAC, reimagines Apple's discontinued Touch Bar as a standalone USB-C device.
Featuring a 10-inch 2K AMOLED touchscreen, the Flexbar offers customizable controls and preloaded shortcuts for popular apps like Adobe Premiere and Microsoft Office.
It supports macOS, Windows, and mobile devices, though functionality on Android and iPads is currently limited to hotkeys.
The device includes haptic feedback, a magnetic stand, and a drag-and-drop customization tool called FlexbarDesigner, with a plugin marketplace expected in Q2 2025.
Currently available for early backers at $119 on Kickstarter, the Flexbar is slated for February 2025 delivery, though risks typical of crowdfunding projects remain.
