Fleetwood Mac’s Iconic Piano Used for Classic Hits Heads to Auction

The Grand Hamilton piano, once owned by Stevie Nicks and played by Christine McVie, Elton John, and Freddie Mercury, is expected to fetch up to $200,000.

  • The black Grand Hamilton piano, used to compose Fleetwood Mac classics like 'Songbird' and 'Sara,' is being auctioned by Gotta Have Rock and Roll with a minimum bid of $50,000.
  • The auction closes on December 6, with estimates suggesting the piano could sell for between $100,000 and $200,000.
  • The piano, originally owned by Stevie Nicks, was later played by Christine McVie during Fleetwood Mac's tours and recordings in the late 1970s and early 1980s.
  • English singer-songwriter Robbie Patton, who acquired the piano as payment for his work with the band, has confirmed its use by music legends Elton John and Freddie Mercury.
  • The piano has been refurbished but retains its original keys and comes with a letter of authenticity signed by Nicks, McVie, and Patton in 2015.
