Flash Fire in Hyperbaric Chamber Kills Arizona Clinic Founder

Lake Havasu City fire officials have closed the clinic pending an investigation into the blaze that consumed Dr Walter Foxcroft inside the therapy machine.

  • Responding firefighters arrived at Havasu Health and Hyperbarics around 11 p.m. on July 9 after reports of a blaze inside a hyperbaric oxygen chamber.
  • Investigators recovered Dr Walter Foxcroft’s charred remains from inside the sealed chamber and officially pronounced him dead at the scene.
  • No other staff or patients sustained injuries, and the clinic has been closed until officials determine the fire’s ignition source.
  • Authorities have yet to pinpoint a cause and are examining hyperbaric equipment and safety procedures under Lake Havasu City Fire Department protocols.
  • Foxcroft founded the state’s first integrative naturopathic hyperbaric center in 2024, and colleagues and alumni have honored his clinical and community contributions.
