Flames Promote Ryan Huska to Head Coach Role

Ryan Huska, an assistant coach with the Calgary Flames for the past five seasons, has been promoted to head coach.
Huska previously coached the Flames' AHL affiliate for four years and a WHL team for seven years.
Huska replaces Darryl Sutter, who was fired in May after the Flames missed the playoffs.
This is Huska's first head coaching role in the NHL.
Improving the play of Nazem Kadri and Jonathan Huberdeau will be among Huska's top priorities.
