Flames gut Grade II-listed mansion on London’s ‘Millionaires’ Row’

The blaze was brought under control by 4:48 am following hours of firefighting with the cause remaining under investigation.

  • The fire broke out at around 1:10 am on May 26 at Hollybush House on Hadley Green Road, prompting deployment of ten fire engines and about 70 firefighters from multiple stations.
  • Crews successfully contained the blaze by 4:48 am but stayed on site to dampen down remaining hotspots.
  • The roof, most of the first floor and half of the ground floor were engulfed in flames, leading to severe damage and a partial structural collapse.

  • Hollybush House is an 18th-century, nine-bedroom Georgian mansion set in 2.23 acres that was undergoing extensive renovations by owners Robert and Helen Speroni following its £4.5 million sale in 2020.
