Flagg Brothers Bring ProCamp Back to Orono

Overview

• The third annual Flagg Brothers Basketball ProCamp took place at the University of Maine on Saturday, Aug. 15, with hundreds of youngsters working on fundamentals and scrimmages.
• Cooper Flagg, the Dallas Mavericks’ 2026 NBA Rookie of the Year, and his twin brother Ace led instruction alongside college and camp coaches.
• Camp organizers said proceeds go to the Donovan Kurt Memorial Cancer Foundation to honor a former Nokomis teammate who died of brain cancer.
• New Mavericks head coach Dusty May visited the camp to support Cooper and praised his work ethic and humility.
• The event is meant to give Maine kids exposure the brothers lacked growing up and keeps Cooper and Ace rooted in their hometown as they prepare for their next pro and college seasons.
