Flag football, cricket among five sports proposed for 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles

Los Angeles 2028 organizers have proposed adding flag football, cricket, lacrosse, squash, and baseball/softball to the Olympic program.
The International Olympic Committee will vote on the proposal at their meeting in Mumbai in mid-October.
Flag football and cricket would be new Olympic sports, while baseball/softball returns after being excluded from Paris 2024.
The NFL and cricket's governing bodies are keen for their sports' Olympic inclusion to expand their global reach.
Some changes to existing sports may be needed to stay within the IOC's 10,500 athlete cap if all 5 are added.
