Overview

• Police said the Grand Vitara crashed into a truck around 12:45 a.m. near Suiya Mor under Parsa Bazar jurisdiction on the Patna–Gaya–Dobhi corridor.
• The deceased were identified as Rajesh Kumar, Sanjay Kumar Sinha, Kamal Kishore, Prakash Chaurasia and Sunil Kumar, who relatives said were returning from business work in Fatuha.
• An initial probe points to very high speed, with reports that the truck was slow-moving or possibly parked without proper signals, and the exact cause remains under investigation.
• Authorities registered a case, seized the truck and are searching for the absconding driver, according to Patna Police.
• Rescuers used gas cutters and a crane to retrieve the bodies, which were autopsied at PMCH before being handed over to families, police said.
