Five-star defensive end commits to Missouri football program

Missouri secured a commitment from five-star defensive end Williams Nwaneri, the No. 12 overall prospect in the 2024 ESPN 300.
Nwaneri is the highest-ranked player to sign with Missouri since wide receiver Luther Burden in 2022.
Nwaneri cited his relationship with the coaching staff and staying close to home as reasons for choosing Missouri.
Nwaneri also considered Oklahoma, Georgia and Tennessee before making his decision.
Nwaneri believes his commitment will positively impact Missouri's recruiting and sees potential for the program's future success.
