Five Sent to Judicial Custody in Zubeen Garg Probe as Singapore Steps Up Coordination

Investigators report most yacht witnesses have deposed and say forensic findings will be filed in court as they await clearance to carry out inquiries in Singapore.

Overview

  • A Guwahati court remanded Shyamkanu Mahanta, Siddharth Sharma, Sandipan Garg, Paresh Baishya and Nandeswar Bora to 14 days in judicial custody after their police remand ended.
  • Two other accused, bandmate Shekhar Jyoti Goswami and singer Amritprava Mahanta, remain in police remand until October 17 as part of the seven arrests on charges including murder and criminal conspiracy.
