Five Remmo clan members sentenced for stealing over $129 million worth of 18th-century jewels from historic Green Vault museum in Dresden, Germany

The men broke into the museum in November 2019, cut power to nearby streetlights, and stole 21 pieces of jewelry containing over 4,300 diamonds.
The treasures have been housed in the museum for over 300 years and survived World War II bombings before the heist.
Most of the stolen jewels have been recovered, but some important pieces with large diamonds remain missing.
Two of the suspects were already serving time for stealing a gold coin worth $4 million from another Berlin museum.
The Remmo crime family to which the men belong is known for its loyalty and unwillingness to cooperate with authorities.
