Overview
- A federal grand jury indictment unsealed on June 25 charges five alleged MS-13 members with racketeering, murder, conspiracy and narcotics trafficking in connection with two slayings on Long Island.
- Yoneli Ramos-Moreno was lured to a Hauppauge parking lot in October 2023 and driven to Sunken Meadow Bluff, where he was strangled and beaten to death over suspected ties to a rival gang.
- Three defendants are accused of stabbing and drowning Carlos Lopez-Lopez at a Blue Point beach in March 2025 after alleging he cooperated with law enforcement.
