Five Motorcyclists Die in Separate Jharkhand Crashes as Police Probe Hit-and-Run

Police confirmed five motorcycle fatalities across Hazaribagh, Palamu (Medininagar) and Koderma on October 1–2.
Abhishek Murmu and his brother-in-law Bandi Soren were fatally struck from behind near Phusari Bridge on the Charhi–Ghato Road in Hazaribagh.
Villagers blocked the road in Hazaribagh demanding the driver’s arrest, and police assured compensation to the victims’ families while tracing the vehicle.
In Palamu’s Singra village, state employee Rakesh Kumar died on the spot after a head-on collision between his motorcycle and an SUV, according to the SDPO.
In Koderma, Sagar Kumar, 18, and Varun Pandey, 45, died in separate skidding crashes during wet conditions near Kali Mandap and on NH-20 near Urwan More.
