Five Militants and Three Policemen Killed in Intense Ongoing Operation in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kathua

Security forces continue to search for additional militants after a fierce gun battle in Kathua district, with heightened measures implemented across the region.

An anti-terror operation in Kathua district has resulted in the deaths of five militants and three police personnel, with seven security personnel injured.
The operation began after militants were spotted in the Ghati Juthana area of Rajbagh, following intelligence inputs and civilian reports of suspicious activity.
The militants, suspected to be linked to Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammed, were heavily armed with advanced weapons, including M4 carbines and grenades.
Security forces, including the Army, CRPF, BSF, and the Jammu and Kashmir Police's Special Operations Group, are conducting coordinated efforts to neutralize remaining threats.
Heightened security measures have been implemented along the Jammu-Pathankot highway, as officials remain vigilant against further infiltration attempts.
