Overview

• Five men, aged between 69 and 90, have been arrested and charged in connection with historical abuse at Edinburgh Academy.
• The men are alleged to have abused young people at the school over a 24-year period between 1968 and 1992.
• Nearly 50 witnesses gave evidence about abuse at the school to the Scottish Child Abuse inquiry, including television presenter Nicky Campbell.
• As many as 20 staff were accused of abusing pupils at the fee-paying school.
• A sixth man, aged 74, has also been reported to the procurator fiscal.
