Five Killed in M6 Motorway Crash Involving Wrong-Way Driver

A head-on collision near Tebay Services in Cumbria resulted in the deaths of two children and three adults, with another child seriously injured.

The crash occurred at around 4:04 PM when a Skoda was reported traveling south on the northbound carriageway of the M6.
The collision involved a Skoda driven by a Cambridgeshire man and a Toyota carrying a family from Glasgow.
All four occupants of the Toyota—a man, a woman, and two children—were pronounced dead at the scene.
A third child from the Toyota was airlifted to the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle with serious injuries.
The M6 northbound was closed between J36 and J39 for several hours but has since reopened.
