Overview

- Police reported five people injured, and three patients were taken to Ipswich Hospital for further assessment.
- All occupants exited their vehicles unaided as two fire engines, police and the ambulance service attended, with fire crews stood down shortly after 5pm.
- The crash destroyed part of a pedestrian crossing and damaged traffic lights, prompting a road closure until around 9:30pm Sunday.
- Suffolk Highways began replacing the traffic signals on Monday, with Suffolk County Council saying installation is due to be completed Tuesday.
