Five Dead in Plane Crash Near Wright Brothers Memorial

A single-engine plane attempting to land at First Flight Airport in North Carolina crashed, killing all onboard.

The crash occurred at 5 p.m. on Saturday near the Wright Brothers National Memorial in Kill Devil Hills, North Carolina.
All five passengers, including one child, died in the crash.
Eyewitnesses reported that the plane was attempting to land when it crashed into a wooded area and caught fire.
The National Transportation Safety Board and the Federal Aviation Administration are investigating the incident.
The First Flight Airport and the Wright Brothers National Memorial are closed until Tuesday, October 1, at 9 a.m.
