Five Dead, Four Critical After Adulterated Toddy Outbreak in Hyderabad

Overview

  • Five fatalities have been confirmed and about 40 people remain hospitalised after consuming suspected adulterated toddy in Kukatpally.
  • Four of the patients are in critical condition and receiving dialysis or ventilator support at NIMS and Gandhi Hospital.
  • Prohibition and Excise Department officers sealed three toddy outlets in Hyderanagar, Shamshiguda and KPHB Colony and arrested five individuals.
