Five Children Die in Arizona House Fire While Father Was Out Shopping

Investigation Underway as Community Mourns Loss and Raises Funds for Funeral Expenses

Five children, including four siblings and a relative, died in a house fire in Bullhead City, Arizona, while their father was out shopping for Christmas gifts and groceries.
The fire is believed to have started in the downstairs foyer and quickly spread up the only staircase, trapping the children in an upstairs bedroom.
Neighbors attempted to rescue the children, breaking windows and placing an extension ladder to the upstairs bedroom, but were unsuccessful due to the intensity of the fire.
The children's grandfather is an employee of the Bullhead City Fire Department, prompting the involvement of outside agencies in the investigation to avoid conflict of interest.
A GoFundMe page has been set up to support the families of the victims, raising over $16,000 as of Wednesday morning.
