Overview

• Five suspects aged between 26 and 36 from Coventry and Warwickshire were charged today with offences including kidnap, false imprisonment, wounding with intent and conspiracy to murder in connection with Johnny Robbins’s disappearance and presumed death.
• Sam Jones and Ben Whyley face the full range of charges while Jordan Doswell, Junior Makosso and Thomas Young are accused of false imprisonment and related offences.
• West Midlands Police maintain that Johnny Robbins’s presumed murder is linked to Daniel Shaw’s 2018 shooting but no one has been charged over Shaw’s death.
• Six individuals arrested or interviewed last year have been released from the investigation with no further action to be taken.
• Detectives renewed a public appeal for information on the whereabouts of Ryan Hobday, believed to be connected to both cases and now missing.
