Overview
- Five people—Jared Daniels, Cristine Serrano, Shernell Anderson, Larry Lemon and Jonathan Collins—were charged on June 13 with federal felony counts related to drug conspiracy, distribution and firearm offenses.
- Two additional suspects were also arrested on related drug conspiracy charges during the same operation.
- Daniels, Serrano, Anderson and Lemon are accused of conspiring to distribute fentanyl, methamphetamine and heroin across Chicago in 2023 and 2024.
- Law enforcement seized thousands of fentanyl pills and multiple unregistered handguns in city and suburban raids that included Brookfield, Frankfort, Oak Lawn and Alsip.
- If convicted, the drug defendants face mandatory sentences ranging from 10 years to life in prison while Collins could receive up to 15 years.
