Five Charged After £1m Ketamine Seizure in Tamworth Raids

Police say coordinated warrants across Wilnecote, Perry Crofts, Polesworth targeted an alleged trafficking network.

  • Neil Moore, 49, Jameel Hassan, 38, Sian Ansell, 34, Liam Honnor, 34, and Dean Whitehurst, 31, have been charged with offences including conspiracy to export ketamine and import cannabis, supply of cocaine and cannabis, and related possession and proceeds-of-crime counts.
  • All five are due to appear at North Staffordshire Justice Centre today following the October 2 warrants.
  • A 20-year-old man arrested in the operation remains on conditional police bail as inquiries continue.
  • Officers seized approximately 70kg of ketamine valued at about £1 million, around half a kilo of cocaine, and a quantity of cannabis.
  • Two firearms and £2,500 in cash were recovered, with Superintendent Victoria Downing describing the action as a significant series of warrants by the major and organised crime unit.
