Fitur 2026 to Convene 161 Countries in Madrid With Mexico as Country Partner

Organizers project about €500 million in local impact as the fair debuts expanded knowledge and technology programs.

  • Fitur’s 46th edition runs January 21–25 at Madrid’s Ifema exhibition center with professional days midweek and public entry over the weekend.
  • Organizers report participation from 161 countries, roughly 970 exhibitors and more than 10,000 companies, with attendance expected around 255,000 visitors.
  • Mexico leads the showcase as Country Partner, leveraging recent tourism growth and targeting a move from sixth to fifth globally in visitor rankings, according to Sectur.
  • New features include the Pabellón del Conocimiento with eight auditoriums, 10 conference programs, over 200 sessions and 250 speakers, plus the launch of Fitur Experience and a Travel Technology area that doubles in size.
  • Eighteen destinations join the fair, largely from Africa and Asia–Pacific, and a MexicoSpain panel on valuing built cultural heritage is slated for January 19 at Madrid’s architects’ association with participants from Mexico City, Yucatán and ICOMOS.
