Fitness Influencer Miguel Angel Aguilar Dies Months After Robbery Shooting

The 43-year-old founder of Self Made Training Facility succumbed to injuries sustained during a September robbery outside his Bel-Air home.

Miguel Angel Aguilar, a prominent fitness influencer and entrepreneur, passed away on December 21, 2024, after a three-month battle with injuries from a robbery shooting.
The September 13 incident occurred when Aguilar and his wife, Priscilla Valles, were confronted by four armed men outside their Bel-Air home, leading to Aguilar being shot multiple times, including in the face.
Aguilar was the founder and CEO of Self Made Training Facility, a gym chain with 30 locations across multiple states, and was known for revolutionizing personal training and inspiring fitness entrepreneurs.
Three suspects have been arrested in connection with the robbery and now face charges including murder, attempted robbery, and assault with a firearm; a fourth suspect died during the incident.
Aguilar is survived by his wife and two daughters, and his fitness company has pledged to honor his legacy by continuing its mission and values.
