  • The US Coast Guard had suspended the search for the missing boat that carried two passengers on October 25, after covering a search area of more than 14,000 square miles over eight hours.
  • The rescued man was found in a stable condition by Canadian fishermen named Ryan Planes and his uncle John from Sooke, British Columbia, and was then taken to shore by the Canadian Coast Guard.
  • Despite the miraculous survival and rescue of one fisherman, the other individual who was aboard the ship remains missing, and the incident is still under investigation by the US Coast Guard.
