Fisherman Missing for Two Weeks Found Alive off Washington Coast, Second Person Still Missing

Miraculous rescue occurs two days after official search suspended; fisherman survives 13 days by eating salmon while drifting 70 miles off the coast.

The unidentified fisherman was found adrift in a life raft by a Canadian fishing boat some 70 miles northwest of Cape Flattery, Washington, two weeks after going missing.
He survived for 13 days on a life raft by catching and eating salmon, after their 43-foot vessel named 'Evening' that departed from Washington's Grays Harbor went missing on October 12.
The US Coast Guard had suspended the search for the missing boat that carried two passengers on October 25, after covering a search area of more than 14,000 square miles over eight hours.
The rescued man was found in a stable condition by Canadian fishermen named Ryan Planes and his uncle John from Sooke, British Columbia, and was then taken to shore by the Canadian Coast Guard.
Despite the miraculous survival and rescue of one fisherman, the other individual who was aboard the ship remains missing, and the incident is still under investigation by the US Coast Guard.
