Fisher-Price Corn Popper, Baseball Cards, Cabbage Patch Kids, NERF Toys Inducted into National Toy Hall of Fame

Fans voted Fisher-Price Corn Popper into the Hall of Fame as part of the 25th anniversary celebration, while baseball cards, Cabbage Patch Kids, and NERF toys were selected by a panel of experts from a field of 12 finalists.

The Fisher-Price Corn Popper was chosen by fans as part of the 25th anniversary celebration of the Toy Hall of Fame, beating out other 'Forgotten Five' finalists including the pogo stick, My Little Pony, PEZ dispensers, and Transformers.
Baseball cards, Cabbage Patch Kids, and NERF toys were selected by a panel of experts from a field of 12 finalists, which included Barbie's boyfriend, Ken, who did not make the cut despite increased visibility from a recent movie.
The inductees represent a variety of play types for all ages, with baseball cards encouraging lifelong collection, Cabbage Patch Kids fostering imagination and storytelling, the Fisher-Price Corn Popper promoting activity for toddlers, and NERF toys designed for both indoor and outdoor play.
The inducted toys are on permanent display at the National Toy Hall of Fame, located inside The Strong National Museum of Play in Rochester, New York.
