First Señor de los Milagros Procession Sets Off at Noon in Lima

City agencies have activated transport detours with street closures alongside medical support for the noon departure.

Overview

  • The image departs from the Sanctuary of Las Nazarenas at 12:00 p.m., following Av. Emancipación, Jr. Chancay and Jr. Conde de Superunda before returning via Av. Tacna.
  • ATU and the National Police began progressive closures from early morning, with Metropolitano services A and C curtailed and nearby stations such as Colmena, Jirón de la Unión, Tacna and Castilla closed during the route.
  • Bus corridor adjustments include Corredor Azul detours across central avenues and the Corredor Morado’s 412 service shortening its route, while conventional buses are redirected on alternate arterials.
  • Essalud has two itinerant medical posts in Lima Cercado (Jr. Huancavelica cuadra 6 and Jr. Conde de Superunda cuadra 4) and STAE ambulances on standby to provide immediate care.
  • Nazarenas TV streams the procession live with additional coverage from Canal HN and the Archdiocese of Lima, coinciding with the noon ‘levantada mundial’ coordinated with 41 overseas and 11 domestic brotherhoods; further outings run Oct. 18, 19, 26, 28 and Nov. 1, including a return to Callao on Oct. 26.
