First Precast Segment for Eternal Wall of Answered Prayer Completed

Organisers say the Portugal-made piece triggers staged transport to Coleshill for assembly and the project still aims to open in 2029.

Overview

  • Project organisers announced completion of the first of 188 precast concrete segments built at a purpose-built factory in Portugal.
  • The segments will be shipped to the donated Coleshill site near Birmingham and assembled on site as groundwork from last year continues.
  • When finished the Möbius‑shaped monument is planned to reach 169 feet and be made from one million digitally linked bricks that visitors can scan to read or hear testimonies of answered prayer.
  • Funding has come largely from IM Properties and donors with reported build costs around £40 million and organisers are continuing fundraising and testimony collection.
  • Reports differ on how many testimonies have been submitted so far, with sources citing figures from more than 10,000 to more than 100,000, creating uncertainty about the current total ahead of the planned 2029 opening.
