First November Social Security Payments Arrive Wednesday for Birthdays on the 1st–10th

Most recipients now receive deposits by direct deposit or Direct Express after the federal phaseout of paper checks.

Overview

  • The Social Security Administration will issue the first November round on Wednesday, Nov. 12, to beneficiaries born between the 1st and 10th.
  • Additional deposits are scheduled for Nov. 19 for birthdays on the 11th–20th and Nov. 26 for the 21st–31st.
  • If a payment does not post on the scheduled date, the SSA asks beneficiaries to wait three business days before seeking help.
  • A 2.8% cost-of-living increase begins with January 2026 payments for all SSA programs, calculated using CPI-W data.
  • Supplemental Security Income for November was paid early on Oct. 31 because Nov. 1 fell on a Saturday, and those who received Social Security before May 1997 are paid on the 3rd of each month.
