First Night Boston Marks 50 Years With Citywide Festivities, Fireworks at 7 p.m. and Midnight

  • Officials anticipate hundreds of thousands of attendees and will enforce bans on public drinking, personal fireworks and drones, along with street closures and parking restrictions.
  • Ice sculptures span the waterfront with free boat shuttles from 1–5 p.m., Frog Pond hosts skating shows at 3 p.m. and 5:30 p.m., and forecasters expect temperatures in the 20s.
