  • Education statistics highlight a decline in civic knowledge among American students, with a 2019 poll showing one in five could not name one branch of government. The creators of 'Well Versed' hope to combat this gap in understanding through engaging, modern content.
  • The First Lady was joined by prominent figures from Paramount Pictures, Nickelodeon, and the media company ATTN at the launch. A message of support was also received from former First Lady Laura Bush on behalf of her institute.
  • The series was produced in partnership with iCivics, a nonprofit founded by former U.S. Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O'Connor that develops free online resources to assist young Americans learn about civics. As many as 145,000 instructors and 9 million pupils use iCivics materials each year.
  • Designed to engage and educate, 'Well Versed' covers a range of topics including citizens' rights, local governments, voting and the branches of government. The cast features both new and recognizable voices in the animation industry.
