• Javonnie Tavener, 23, was pictured for the first time after admitting to causing the death of four-year-old Mayar Yahia by careless driving.
• Mayar died at the roadside and her mother and a neighbour sustained serious injuries when Tavener’s Corsa breached a barrier into Eid celebrants on April 14, 2024.
• Tavener has been remanded in custody at Birmingham Crown Court and is awaiting sentencing on charges of causing death by careless driving, driving uninsured and causing serious injury.
