First Glimpses of Deceased Newborn Revealed in Court as Parents Stand Trial

Constance Marten and Mark Gordon deny charges of manslaughter by gross negligence, living off-grid while on the run.

Constance Marten, 36, and Mark Gordon, 49, are on trial for the death of their newborn baby, Victoria, who was found dead in a Lidl bag in a shed in Brighton.
The couple had been on the run, living off-grid and spending hundreds of pounds on taxis to travel across England.
CCTV footage shown in court for the first time reveals glimpses of baby Victoria, who was previously only seen hidden under Marten's coat.
The couple also deny charges of perverting the course of justice, concealing the birth of a child, child cruelty and causing or allowing the death of a child.
The trial continues at the Old Bailey.
