Overview

• On October 12, the Church will mark the first liturgical feast of Saint Carlo Acutis since his September 7, 2025 canonization by Pope Leão XIV.
• Campo Grande’s Our Lady Aparecida chapel will be formally raised to the Archdiocesan Shrine of Our Lady Aparecida and Saint Carlo Acutis, described as the first shrine in the world dedicated to him.
• The elevation follows a locally rooted miracle attributed to Acutis’ intercession at the site and pastoral efforts led by Father Marcelo Tenório.
• The shrine’s inaugural program includes a relic blessing, public veneration of Acutis’ pullover, multiple Masses including the Tridentine rite, a procession, and a coronation of Our Lady Aparecida.
• Public devotion is spreading through relic visits, with Fortaleza’s Cristo Rei parish displaying a relic during Saturday Mass.
