Overview

• The London Fire Brigade received more than 20 calls reporting the fire at 04:07 and dispatched ten engines to the industrial yard on Manor Road.
• Around 70 firefighters from Plumstead, Erith, Bexley and Kent Fire and Rescue Service are at the scene.
• Crews have deployed a Hose Layer and High Volume Pump to boost water supply for firefighting operations.
• Thick plumes of smoke have led authorities to advise residents near the River Thames to keep doors and windows closed.
