Firefighter Adopts Abandoned Newborn Left in Safe Haven Baby Box

A firefighter in Florida found a newborn baby girl abandoned in a Safe Haven Baby Box and adopted her.
The firefighter and his wife had struggled with infertility for over 10 years and had considered adoption.
The firefighter left a note at the hospital expressing his desire to adopt the baby.
The couple completed the necessary requirements and officially adopted the baby, naming her Zoey, in April.
The Safe Haven Baby Box program allows babies to be surrendered anonymously and has helped save 31 babies so far across the U.S.
