Overview
- Fire Service Week, which opened Tuesday, runs April 14–20 with launches in Thane, at Mumbai’s Byculla fire headquarters, and at the Mumbai Port memorial.
- At the BMC’s Byculla ceremony, officials said emergencies now include hoarding collapses and transport mishaps, and they pledged stronger training, equipment and building compliance with citizen help through the Aapda Mitra program.
