Overview

  • A fire erupted at around 14:00 on July 12 along via Salaria near kilometer 13 between Roma Tiburtina and Settebagni.
  • Rete Ferroviaria Italiana halted all high-speed trains on the Rome–Florence line between Roma Tiburtina and Settebagni following the blaze.
  • Conventional services resumed at 16:10 but high-speed routes remained suspended into the evening.
  • Passengers experienced delays of up to 90 minutes and several Frecciarossa services were canceled.
  • Vigili del fuoco extinguished the fire with two teams and an autobotte, no injuries were reported and investigators are examining potential negligence or arson.
