Fire Damages Former Home of Disgraced BBC Host Jimmy Savile in Scottish Highlands

The property, long abandoned and repeatedly vandalized, caught fire in an outbuilding as authorities continue their investigation.

The fire broke out on Saturday evening in an outbuilding at Allt Na Reigh, the former home of Jimmy Savile in Glen Coe, Scotland.
Emergency services responded to the blaze, which required three fire engines and led to the temporary closure of the A82 road.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the fire, which damaged a property that has been repeatedly vandalized since Savile's crimes were exposed after his death in 2011.
The current owner, Harris Aslam, had previously received permission to demolish the cottage and replace it with a new family home.
Savile, once a prominent BBC host, was revealed posthumously to be one of the UK's most prolific sex offenders, with over 500 victims identified.
