• Firefighters stabilized the animal by securing its head before lifting it using specialist straps and lines.
• A farmer supplied machinery for the lift while a vet monitored the cow’s welfare throughout the rescue.
• Post-rescue, crews decontaminated equipment as the vet and farmer assessed the animal, which is reported to be recovering.
