Fire at Ostfriesland's Gallimarkt Injures Eleven

A ghost train ride caught fire at the popular festival in Leer, with investigations underway to determine the cause.

Eleven people were injured, including four employees who suffered smoke inhalation, and one person was in shock.
The fire occurred on the 'Zombie' ghost train ride at the Gallimarkt, the largest folk festival in Ostfriesland, which attracts around half a million visitors annually.
The fire was quickly extinguished, but the cause of the blaze remains unknown, prompting a police investigation.
Three of the injured individuals were hospitalized, while the rest received treatment on site.
The Gallimarkt, originally a cattle market dating back to 1508, features 19 large rides and approximately 250 market stalls.
