• Rohtak police registered an FIR for abetment of suicide and criminal conspiracy after a complaint by ASI Sandeep Lathar’s wife.
• Those booked include IAS officer Amneet P. Kumar, her brother and AAP MLA Amit Rattan, EASI Sushil Kumar, and another police personnel posted at the IG office.
• Sandeep left a final note and a six-minute video alleging corruption involving the late IG Y. Puran Kumar and claiming caste-based transfers during his tenure.
• A videographed post-mortem was conducted at PGIMS Rohtak after the family allowed the autopsy following the FIR, and the ASI was cremated in Julana in the presence of large crowds and political leaders.
