FIR Filed After CP Bar Bouncers Accused of Beating Three Over Dhol Player Row

Police are reviewing CCTV to identify suspects, with the bar’s staff and management under examination.

Overview

  • The alleged assault occurred around 1:15 am on Sunday outside a bar in Connaught Place’s N Block after an argument over a street dhol player.
  • The victims were identified as Dharmendra Kumar, 36, Naveen Kumar, 31, and Naveen Shaukin, 28, with two of them stated to be advocates.
  • A bouncer allegedly called 8–10 others who punched and kicked the trio, used a hard object, and issued threats including a call to “shoot them quickly,” according to the complaint and police.
  • The injured men received treatment at Lady Hardinge Hospital, and one reported his gold chain missing during the scuffle.
  • An FIR has been registered under BNS sections 115(2), 126(2), 351(3) and 3(5); eyewitnesses corroborated the assault and investigators are scanning footage to identify those involved.
