Overview
- Line 6, which pauses service Friday at 2:30 a.m. until Tuesday at 4 a.m., will be replaced by shuttle buses running along Finch Avenue West.
- Metrolinx says crews need uninterrupted access to install system upgrades, run staff training and strengthen infrastructure for winter conditions.
- The agencies scheduled the work ahead of the FIFA World Cup next month, with daily ridership around 9,500 now and higher demand expected.
- Riders will see shuttle buses and Wheel-Trans support during the closure, and most stations will stay open for PRESTO purchases except Warden.
- Separate from Line 6, Line 2 Bloor–Danforth will end service early from May 19 to May 22 for track work, with shuttle buses and Wheel-Trans available.
