Overview

• At 15:00 Brasília time, test messages will reach compatible smartphones in the Federal District and 12 cities in Goiás, Mato Grosso and Mato Grosso do Sul via Cell Broadcast.
• The intrusive alerts appear on screen with a loud tone even on silent, work only over 4G or 5G, and require no user registration.
• The service is free and designed to complement existing channels such as SMS, pay TV, WhatsApp, Telegram and Google Public Alerts.
• Authorities ask recipients to tap OK to confirm receipt and to avoid calling 192, 193 or 199 during the test to prevent disrupting real emergencies.
• Cities in the demonstration include Brasília, Goiânia, Campo Grande, Dourados, Corumbá, Três Lagoas, Cuiabá, Rondonópolis, Tangará da Serra, Itumbiara, Formosa, Cidade de Goiás and Rio Branco (MT), completing national deployment that began in 2024.
