Final Suspect in Philadelphia Mass Shooting Arrested

The last suspect involved in the shooting that injured eight high school students has been captured in Virginia.

  • The U.S. Marshals Service announced the arrest of 17-year-old Asir Boone in Alexandria, Virginia, marking the capture of the fourth and final suspect in the Northeast Philadelphia mass shooting.
  • The mass shooting on March 6 at a bus stop injured eight Northeast High School students, all of whom are now in stable condition.
  • Three other suspects, Jermahd Carter, Jamaal Tucker, and Ahnile Buggs, were previously arrested and are facing charges including attempted murder and aggravated assault.
  • More than 30 shots were fired at a group of teens gathered at a SEPTA bus stop following school dismissal, striking seven boys and one girl ranging in age from 15 to 17.
  • Authorities hope the arrests bring comfort to the student victims and help subside fear for their safety while receiving an education.
