Overview
- The fifth and final procession departed the Santuario de Las Nazarenas at about 12:00 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 1, 2026, after a solemn mass led by Archbishop Carlos Castillo Mattasoglio.
- The route runs along Avenida Tacna, continues via Jirón Callao and Jirón Chancay to Avenida Emancipación, and then returns to the Monastery of Las Nazarenas as the procession’s planned circuit.
- El Metropolitano altered services for the event, diverting Regular A buses via Avenida Alfonso Ugarte with only Dos de Mayo, Quilca and España as stops, while Regular C will run a limited route and several central stations will be closed.
- The Autoridad de Transporte Urbano and the Policía Nacional are supervising progressive road closures, traffic diversions and crowd control along the procession corridor to protect attendees and keep transport moving.
- Organizers expect the sacred image to return to the monastery in the early evening where it will remain until October 2027, and authorities deployed medical posts and emergency teams to assist thousands of faithful who follow the procession.
